not sure if I've earned my stripes to maybe suggest it worth spliting the spotted thread into a sub section and having single threads for each cars spotted, would make talk about each car easier to follow

whats the take on full number plates in threads ? - is this a good idea, I know most customers like the markings removed on my website

I'm not fussed if my plate is shown but I can understand why some people are fussed especially when in the process of selling when cloning is an issue... Wouldn't have thought there are many into cloning Massers though....

The reason why its not a good idea to show your car with plates as anyone can clone it or use the pics for scam internet car sales.

Just think if you lived in london and had say a red 3200, you could find one on here that was not a London car, have some plates made-up and just drive around for months without getting caught, and causing the real plate owner stress.

...I am not advocating this, its just something to be aware off.

The same goes for speed camera and the police. If they tail you with an illegal plate and stop you they have no way of knowing that the car is cloned, especially if you know the name of the real owner, which on a forum such as this, would be very easy to do. You can even request the owners home address by writing to the DVLA stating they were blocking your place of work and the DVLA must provide the details. Crazy if you ask me.

This is how these private parking fine companies operate. I had one on the way to the France trip last year. I parked in a coach bay in an M25 service station. 4 weeks later (after obtaining my details from the DVLA) I receive a parking notice, made up to look like an official council one. They have the same offer, pay within 14 days at 50%, but they have absolutely no legal right to do this, basically private companies, praying on the unsuspecting motorist again.

I was just think more of other peoples cars that aren't members, I'm sure that data protection could come into play on this ?

on the other note about spliting the spotted thread ? or maybe by model, so we have as example 3200 in one thread - enough said, I'll shutup now

Thanks Enzo for your input, we are more than open to suggestions.

We will however be leaving the Spotted thread as it is for now.

If you have any other ideas, put them forward.

As my old school teacher used to say, "My door is always open"
