Although, it's a straight bit of canal, they do 10 knots so I wonder how the h€ll he got stuck...bit like people crashing on a motorway all on their own...

Tonnage of Ever Given, 219,079 tonnes.Surely it can't be that difficult to pull it out? Sht load of tugs on the stern, pull like fck and when it's free a couple on the front to pull the bow straight? (note the use of technical maritime terminology here ) need a bit of farmer logic instead of pussyfooting around. LOL
Fortunately for you, I still haven’t mastered doing a and only ever manage the dull thumbs up “like”!Didn’t I hear it was a women driver...ducks for cover

Bollard pull of average tug 70 tonnes.
Where are you going to attach the dozens of tugs required.
I can’t help thinking it should be so difficult - if there are not enough tugs, get one of the other container ships to help.Surely it can't be that difficult to pull it out?
