To make it a bit easier for those heading South from the freezing north, the option of somewhere slightly closer to the M6 side might be helpful? Maybe Buxton, Matlock, Bakewell? All lovely places, some great pubs, etc and some fabulous driving roads. All just slightly south of Sheffield. If you want to look at the A1 side, then you could do far worse than Lincoln? Lovely town.

But its got to have attractions for ALL the family, not just a field where us lot can go mad (Thus speaks duncscot..... family liason officer)

Hi Dunscot, Buxton is probably the least attractive, but Matlock and Bakewell are lovely places to visit irrispective of whether you're in a Maser, particularly in the Summer months. They're certainly more than a field and they're all also within a drive of Chatsworth, so we could base ourselves at Chatsworth and organise a drive to include some local towns and villages.

Now I like that idea.... base ourselves at an attractive spot for us men (Chatsworth), and organise mass trips for the women folk into nearby towns/attractions should they wish! Do you think anyone could rustle up some dealers to attend?
