Yeah, it's nonsense. I like my Alcantara one. Suits me just fine. As far as I can tell the newer ones are the same but just a bit chunkier.

I do like a chunkier wheel, it just feels right in this sort of car. I ain't paying 2k though that is frankly a rip off. Will have to keep eyes peeled on Ebay for a facelift one I think.

Totally agree with you.
There is a balance with all these things.
It was my number one thing to change and I was lucky they had one.

This is a good link showing how it can update the interior - look at the old steering wheel. Would have massively bought the interior down.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yThJq8RLIZk

Anyone let me know if they find anyone who can retrofit carbon on a wheel. I can't find anyone as yet.

To be fair you paid for it though and if I was spending that much on a GTS I would want it to look more modern too. The black wheels kill it for me! :D

You can get the original wheel retrimmed thicker. Had his done on an M3 and it was much better....

I rather like you black wheels....very mean looking. Sorry I missed you the other day Iain...we will get to me soon.

It was a shame we couldn't catch up - hope we can soon!
We can discuss wheel options when we catch up. Need your advice on a couple of things

Duty and vat to pay on top of that takes it up to the £1250 to £1300 mark plus the core exchange deposit puts another $500 on the price.
Shame really as its then getting on for a 2k outlay minus the core deposit when you send in your old steering wheel. At least if you a UK sourced wheel you have the option to keep your old wheel or sell it on.

Good points. Besides, my steering wheel seems to work pretty well as it is. Goes left AND right, mostly.

Agree with you both. I looked into the USA option. There are some great ones - but when you add all the additions it stacks up. And I somehow don't trust it would work and takes 6 weeks +

If I had kept the old wheel that was going to be my route.

Trying to get some quotes from good trimmers.

Anyone have any tips regarding floor matts? Mine are wearing through at the heel and was thinking about replacing.
