Exhaust type fumes in the cabin

Hi, I have a 2007 QP V Auto. I noticed that I'm getting exhaust fumes in the car, particularly when in traffic. So had the exhaust checked and there was a leak from the str pipes under the front passenger side. So I had both str pipes replaced and removed the muffler while they where at it. But the smell is still there as are the fumes..WTF...could it be the manifold or the aircon leaking or what??
Cheers

Definitely exhaust fumes?
Could it be a burning oil smell? It could very well be the cam cover gaskets (very common) weeping and dripping oil onto the exhaust manifold. Usually at the rear of the engine next to the bulkhead.

Get it looked at, if its that bad it cause a fire.

Has the carbon vapour canister been done at the last 4 year major service?

Stick your head in the boot and see if it’s stronger in there.

Will be a petrol smell rather than exhaust.

I got a nasty smell in the cabin before two coil packs failed and produced a real melted plastic smell and acrid smoke...

The heat under the car, the exhaust guy couldn't work under it till it had cooled down, is this normal too? Cheers

I had a smell in the cabin when I purchased the car. It turned out to be leaks at the cam cover gaskets in a couple of spark plugs wells, no other leaks in other areas. They found it putting an endoscope after removing the plugs. No smell after the gasket was replaced.
