Eurospares price anomaly

As part of trying to fix the V7 Maserati I seem to have at the minute, I logged onto to the eurospares website to look at latest prices for coil packs, spark plugs, injectors et al. Very reasonable prices but one thing I noticed was the Maserati price was HIGHER consistently than the Ferrari parts although they were the same part number .....

It's only by a couple of quid but over a set of sparkies it could be almost £20! Why wouldn't I buy the cheaper item with the exact same part number?!?!:conf:

TBH, I wouldn't mind having a 360CS to stick the cheaper plugs into.

I ran into the same situation regarding price anomalies in establishing a wish list for my '02 4200 so I presented the issue to Eurospares - Mr Pumo response was to order the cheaper one - which typically was the Ferrari part with same part # as the Maser part

Eurospares are pretty cheap. A replacement ignition coil for my QP costs £40 from them compared to £90 from Maserati - plus the latter has to ship the part in from Italy.

Must admit I use the ES site to lookup part numbers then buy from Alan at Dick Lovetts. He gives me a bit of discount and I have yet to see a cheaper price from ES.

They are good for used spares, they wanted £200 for a black carpet set out of a Spyder which was very good especially when you consider that it would take an age to get out.

Even so its useful to have Espares as a back up plus to spread the love......

Certainly the bushes I ordered off Espares for the 4200 recently were just over 1/2 price what Maserati wanted

Well, having someone like EuroSpares keeps Maserati parts on their toes, so for that we thank you.
