Yesterday Jeanette took the youngest two to school in the Mas and a little way down the road it threw an EOBD failure light (yellow engine) and continued to drive OK. I've run it up and driven it hot today but it has not cleared itself. The book suggests it is fuel/ignition/emissions related but that is a big field of potentials; any suggestions. I can just to a reset and see if it comes back...

You really need to find a specific fault otherwise you will end up d!cking around until the sun explodes. A lot of faults are minor and easy to fix, let's hope it's one of those. If the engine is running ok, get it read as soon as possible and don't thrash it until its been cleared.

And they say sarcasm is a forgotten art form!

I had a cel light recently and it was a secondary air system fault. It turned out to be a pipe that had come adrift and took 2 mins to fix. You could start there. It's a T piece joining 3 pipes and there is on either side of the engine bay under the removable grilles. It's quite common apparently.
