No probs apart from recalcitrant start on Sunday set off, done it which now during lockdown and not being used much. I used it frequently, but only short trips. What happened was it seems to take ages to catch, normally it's 2/3 starter turns ie less than a sec but is was longer probably 1/1.5 secs but seems longer when your used to the short ones! And the time/date and mph/kph setting all defaulted, 12:00 etc, and kph for some reason in mine. Battery drain too much I expect. Fine since.

Anyway, got to Hull no problems, overnight to Rotterdam, treated myself to a double bed cabin, set off 8:30 local time this morning arrive bout 14:00. Had two stops for a pee break and some food, one in NL, one in BE, no border checks, no questions asked. Spotted a convertible Aston, Belgian plate BER something.

Motorway signs said border with Germany closed, but I cant remember what country I was in at the time!

No other issues, I'm staying in BE for now next the LU border, Bank Holiday here all closed, so went to LU to a shopping centre/retail park, all open including the pubs - wicked!

Been to Pall Center and the Supermarché is brimming with exotic Belgian/Dutch/Abbey ales, I sank to my knees in despair - literally too much choice.....

Settled for a Westmalle Tripel, one Bush (ohh, a bit of bush), and two more I can't remember and cant be arsed looking in the fridge for. 750's - I need to exercise restraint tonight.....

Got an Airbnb before I find a more perm place - tiniest single bed I've ever seen and I've done plaskartny on the Trans Siberian (non) Express. Luckily I brought my new air mattress, it's a *******, air-mat tech has come on leaps and bounds......

How was P&O ferry? Are they social distancing? Bar on board open etc?
Distancing yes, bar open in a weird way. U pay for draught beer in the restaurant and go to bar where one shutter is up and they pull it there. I say pull it, I mean turn the electric tap on. Bar closed at 9:00pm tho.

Enjoy the adventure. I remember, almost, copious Zot beers in Luxembourg and Belgium area.

Glad you got there OK and are enjoying the magnificent scenery ;)!
You will need to try the other Lux beer as well - Simon.
Obviously, on a hot day, any self-respecting Belgian will drink Jupiler rather than Stella - they find it amusing it is considered a 'premium' brew in the UK.
Fuel should be significantly cheaper. Always fun to drive up the N4 to Martelange and see all the petrol stations on the Lux side of the road.
Try Rochefort beers - the 8 & 10 are superb beers. If you want something different, try some of the excellent spontaneous fermentation beers (lambics & Gueuzes) - really refreshing on a warm day.
If you are in Arlon and are exploring the bars, the Forum (Rue des Capucins) has a reasonable selection of beers (about 100 last time we were there) with Rulles & St. Monon being the reasonably local choices.
Don't know if it is stll going but the Soho (Rue de Diekirch) is an English style pub/bar with 140+ beers
If you are up for a Brewery laugh, then visit the FantÔme brewery in Soy (about 70 miles north) - Dany Prignon (the Brewer/Owner) is a real laugh and is fond of classic British cars.
A group of us turned up in our Masers and he parked his Frogeye Sprite with them.
The Brewery would break all 'Elf & Safety in the UK.

A plan! But bars are closed until Jun 8th, so it's supermarché for now....

Always been a Rochefort fan, two in the fridge....
