If it is an old (18 century or older) house it is most likely a cat as they used to build them into the wall alive for good luck!!!!! Sick but true...

It's a dog, not a good picture of it in flight, but it's a barker with it's tongue out as it fly's past.....neat!!
Never seen such a long tail on a dog, so it might be a dog lizard, commonly found in Essex on a Friday night?

That's me on the morning of Sunday 9th December 2012 - dehydrated, needing a stick up me **** to get me out of bed, feeling like someone ate my skeleton from the inside - ah the SM Christmas bash!! :D
