Quick question, I apologise if someone has asked this question before.

Here goes does anyone know if you can put the GranSport Front Grill & bumper on the Maserati 3200? I see you can put it on the 4200 so I presume it's the same?

Nope totally different front sections meaning you cannot put the 4200/GS front end on the 3200.

3200 has ugly seam line along the front. About the only thing the 4200 beats the 3200 on imo :D

Note the line where the bumper joins the front shell.

Then the 4200 with it's seamless front end.

Well I say seamless but still two garish lines at the sides further up :D Is Italian coachbuilding dead?

Just about! Guigaro, Pininfarina and Bertone are all either in liquidation or very close to it. Such a shame but Ferrari, Maserati, Lambo, Pagani etc all do their own in-house designs now.

I have seen a 3200 in Japan which has done this...so it can be done. However it would involve new slam pannels as well as new wings or major changes to the 3200 wings.

Its just a matter of how much you want to spend. A new GS bumper and grill painted to match will cost you close to £2K.

I'm sure like anything custom it CAN be done but it's not a case of simply swapping them over and bolting them on. I think the GS and 4200 front would somehow ruin the 3200.

Grazie Gentlemen. I have just returned from a quick spin in Maverick's(forum member)4200 car and he just explained the reason why it can not be done...

Also, The 4200 felt lots quicker than my old 3200...

Hum, I must turn that round, my 3200 manual was savage acceleration in a straight line.....right up until you hit the bend at the end of the straight then it was sort of "brown trousers" time.

Round a track the 4200 would dispense with the 3200 I feel....AC, I can't comment as I have never driven one.

The balance of the trans axle at the back makes them light years apart in the corners.....albeit the 3200 may well do the 4200 in a straight line.

If I had my time again, I would still buy a 3200 first then progress to a GS.

I drove a 4200 spyder and a GS.....i found the 4200 quicker than the GS but when my 3200 turbos kick in it does feel faster than all of them....might not be true but it felt faster
Anyone want a race? 3200 v 4200 on a straight....volunteers?

My QP IV feels quicker than my Spyder, but I am sure that it is just the way the power is delivered. The twin turbos give you a real push in the back when they spool up where as the 4200 unit delivers almost seamless power right through the range.
