Barry and Drew - very interesting. Forgive my ignorance but this is purely a remap, ie no piggy-back ECU such as the FD DBW module, correct? I'm keen to sharpen responsiveness and squeeze a little more power but not interested in spending £1500 or so to do it. Barry, can I ask what your re-map cost?
Purely remap, to be customised on the day. Talking of which, the day will be Wednesday afternoon in Reading, as apparently there is some free-time on the rolling road I can use I daresay any underemployed DIY shirker could come along if he so chose...

Is there any conclusion on this re-map by DMS? the have quoted me the following on my 2013 GC MC
"For your Grancabrio we will increase the power from 444bhp up to 487bhp with the torque increasing from 376lb.ft to 411lb.ft, performance figures that will significantly surpass an MC Stradale in on the road performance. The cost for this remap is £1200+vat."
Am tempted but only if the difference is noticeable and there was no risk to the car.
Cheers
I have some reservations about the information they've given you-
Firstly I don't think that +43bhp is realistic from a simple remap. Knowing how much work I had done to my GS to achieve that sort of gain, I just don't think it's there in the Maser engine from a remap alone.
Secondly, a member had his 4.7 GTS remapped to an alleged 505bhp (totally unrealistic) and said he felt absolutely no difference afterwards. He tested the car alongside a standard GTS on the road and there was nothing in it between the performance of the 2 cars.
Finally, does your car not have 460bhp like the Stradale?
I've seen first hand how performance figures can be manipulated on a rolling road, so take these claimed outputs with a massive pinch of salt given the above reasons.
I'd be spending some money on the exhaust to gain a bit more of that glorious noise - even the placebo effect of more noise making the car feel faster will probably be money better spent. These cars don't give out extra power easily, but if you're after more I'd recommend you get in touch with Noor at Torenno Performance (a sponsor on here). He currently owns a Stradale and will give you good advice on what you might achieve. I did most of my mods with Noor's help and was very happy with his advice and service.
