I bet you've got a disused pasta machine somewhere too :) Can't recall who, there are a number of specialists on the forum, one of whom made the good suggestion of picking up any old 2nd hand panel. Bit of practise and you'll be away.

Of course! amongst the other seemed-a-good-idea-at-the-time items!!
That's not a bad shout. I'm currently looking for a banger to use until my new company car arrives as to not use the maser daily, so I shall probably inflict my awful cleaning skills upon that until they are up to scratch...

Wow - great job. So pleased to see you are enjoying my old stead and giving it the love.

Yesterday I gave my GC-MC a clean for the first time since it was similarly detailed and ceramic coated. I could hardly keep it wet to clean it, the finish was that glossy and hydrophobic!

Using a cheap brand of foam I would imagine. It should be quite thick when it goes on, then sort or dissolve and run downwards, taking all the grit with it. What are you using to apply it?

I use a jet wash, but with the power off and a special snow foam lance....comes out like yoghurt....the food, not the Bristolian :)

So you get a proper snow just off the mains pressure through the jet washer? I've got a jet washer but never use it because of the racket it makes, but the snow foam setups I've seen that use only the mains pressure from the hose don't seem to foam up and stick to the car.

Yes. Average mains pressure too. Think its all about the lance and the foam.

I use a pressure washer with a lance and have no problems and my foam "bilt hammer - dof cap to FC" drains off that slow sometimes I get bored, but it smells nice,
I also got new drying and buffing cloths

Excellent in my opinion - best I have used, flick it over holding 2 corners and just drag over car, 1 cloth easily does 1 car without requiring wringing..

Seems this area is riddled with good detailers - I use a brilliant guy just outside of Cheltenham who also had a wonderful job done on the headlights - two years later they are still like new.

From memory that unit came from Bournemouth - pretty hard water so maybe a scale build-up??
Could be worth stripping down - is the nipple threaded, o-ringed? Is that even a word :)

Probably not in polite company :) Nah it's fine. There's actually a hole in it. Couple of new taps and a nipple. Two new handles and a new head. It's all good :D
