Matt,
She is lovely mate, great condition and is obviously well cared for. The red interior is not for me, but must be ideal for someone. Best of luck with your search for a buyer.

Lovely car, unfortunately I've got a part/x so need to buy from a dealer.

Lofty,
Put yours up for private sale mate and make a bit more, a dealer buy will more than likely cost you more.

It is up for sale on pistonheads, but everyone who has enquired wants it for less than I can get trade. Its pretty difficult to find private buyers at the moment who don't need finance etc on cars in this price bracket.

Lofty,
Sign of the times mate, buyers of high end motors are a rare commodity in these cash tight times, but if the car is good and the price is right, it should sell.

Well I've narrowed my search down to two cars.First car is a 2010 auto,Grigio Granito with Nero interior, second car 2009 MC shift, Black with red leather. Both have similar miles, both 1 owner, slightly better price on the first car even though its 1 year newer. If money was no object I'd go for the black car, but I know I'll be kicking myself come trade in time as I'd imagine in a year or two time the 2010 is going to worth a good chunk more than the 2009.Any words of wisdom more than welcome.

No I havn't managed to drive a MC shift yet.I would have to go up to Edinburgh to drive the car before I done the deal on that one.I'm more than likely going to go for the Auto as its a better deal, especially considering its a year newer and doesn't need a service for 2 years.

Lofty,
You will still have the annual oil change, can't leave oil in for 2 years. Is this going to be a daily drive, or a weekender..??? The Maserati Auto is a good box and you should still have "Sport" mode, so the excitement is still present. It's just that some people don't like the MC Shift as a toddle about drive.

It's only going to be used by me on a weekend, my daily driver is a Renault Trafic ( don't laugh ) I owned a M3 SMG a few years back and liked the SMG box even though others hated it, so I'm sure I'd get along fine with the MC shift.Having said that I've spoken to the Edinburgh dealer this afternoon and he won't budge on the price, even though he knows it's £500 more expensive and a year older than the other car.If I was keeping it for years and years then I'd probably go for the car in Edinburgh, but as I'll probably only keep it for a year or 18 months it would seem wiser to go for the newer car.I'm assuming that a 2010 auto is going to be worth £3/4k more than 2009 MC as a trade in over the next year or two?
