Monteverdi would be worth a fortune today assuming you could even find one

You either lovem of hatem , i think Tomasa gave his cars a certain je ne se quoi , worst failing for me was that he used American engines to gain more access and credibility into the american market and it all went titsup ,OOPS aint that what Maserati are doing now to increase market

Quite like it, but unless you've got a lot of money, and £25k is spare change, there's loads more cars I'd spend my hard-earned on. Does anyone know how they drive, is it loud?

If the Tomaso owners club say it's the best original one around, surely one of them would've bought it if it were well-priced.

I'm in the love them camp...I suppose the only thing about using the American lump was that the running costs are not that bad for the type of car it is....

i love the 72-74 Panteras. Some will remember the burgundy one at Auto Italia? (OOI chap who owns it was the first UK importer of Harley Wax, apparently - his car was the reason I bought it!).

That's Johnny Woods, my old schoolmate, he's coming to Le Mans with me in my Aston this year. Yup, he found Harly wax on one of our trips to the US and started importing it http://www.woodsautomotive.co.uk/

Great cars, I holiday with the owners every year, it's them I am going to the Classic with. Fast in a period fashion (300-350bhp if a wellbuilt engine), but a modern car (4200) would murder one, much like it would a Miura or a Daytona. But for £25k they're great value compared to a Bora or the other two and they have almost all the cachet of any of the other three. Chances are it'll have rotten sills and a lot of the bodywork though unless it's had a full and total restoration :(
