D@mn it, only had it back an hour and have people coming to view and only went and nicked the front drivers alloy, not bad but that shinny alloy showing through dark wheels.

Does anyone know the paint code for the GTS grey wheels?

I know how frustrating that is.
When I collected the spyder from Jay at gleamingklean I did that as I pulled up outside my house. I took it to the wheel specialists in brum the next day. £76 & sorted.

I did frank. regret it & am constantly looking for it. will buy another but the storage issue is still an issue.
on reflection I suppose i could have asked my mate if I could have parked it next to his porsche in his wharehouse. but never thought of that at the time. too busy jerking my knee.

Ha ha, you guys crack me up.

A couple of them are flaking so just got back from my wheel guy and he has quoted the usual £45 per wheel, so I am going to have all 4 done. Now, do I go gloss black, hum.......

£45 a wheel!? Wow, thats a cracking price.

Yep, Nin at Siddlesham Bodyshop, does all my wheels and never had a problem with any of them.

He DA's them all down, prime, paint, lacquer and bakes them. He takes my car in when he does them too, so you even have to worry about taking them to him.

Turn around about a day and a half and you dont need to remove the tyres either.

He does it without taking the tryes off? How do they hold up over time? Shirley, you'd have to keep them the same colour?

I had one wheel done by a paintshop and it looks OK, but not a patch on proper strip down, tyre off job that somewhere like Lepsons would do.

the tyres must come off. you cant bake a tyre. the heat effect the rubber & the pressure of the air in the tyre will increase.

They just whip the valves out; it equls the pressure, they are not baking to powder coat temps they run up to about 80 c a tyre can hit that in direct sunlight easily...
