Forget the number 4200. It's called the Maserati "Coupe". I know we all call it the forty two hundred, but Maser tried to simply term it the coupe, so why not stick with that? They never officially called any of the others that name, so it's sufficiently unique.

Did they not also call the 3200 the Coupe?

You could go all Italian which sounds oh so sexy compared to English. Just the the Quattroporte which translates to "four door", the 4200 translates to Quaranta Duecento. Much nicer than 4200.

But the others are correct, it should just be Maserati Coupe.

Ahem.
The rear aerial is the honourable symbol of the classico fellowship and should never be made fun of.
:thanks2:
OK I won't laugh at it but I have had it taken off as part of the respray
Phil (the painter) genuinely thought it was aftermarket

The hole looked like something from a 70s cortina, drilled then files out and very rusty under there
