I finally got around to changing the spark plugs for the forum buy iridiums!!!

Amazingly I have all of my knuckles in tact 1-4 bank area nightmare working around the headers 5-8 bank are easy access, that's daft design. The old plugs were NGK platinum's and looked like originals with 4 & 5 appearing to be wet with irregular gapping to a couple as well.

Whilst under the bonnet I noticed that the coolant header was empty and then I spotted a puddle on the off side of the under tray :( :( :( As I have not started it in nearly 2 weeks it was not likely to be rain water so a quick grapple under the motor to get to it and confirmed it is slightly sticky water... Let's hope it is a hose going not the rad.

Put it all back together and it purred into life so quikly I have big hopes for the plugs. I'll give it a run tomorrow and keep an eye on the temp guage.

Mixed blessings there 2b. I will, hopefully, be picking up my plugs from Si Bradbury this weekend so they will be going in sometime soon. I hope your coolant problem is a minor one. Fingers crossed.

Well I've given her a run out already this morning and she came up to temp perfectly and hald it well. I'll let it cool and check levels again. If all is well I will venture to Peckham later (with a large bottle of water in the boot!).

Calling on the experiences of those who have had similar problems; I know there are priming bolts on the cylinder heads, is there any chance of air getting into the coolant chambers if levels are below low mark on header(mine was totally empty)? If so which bolts are the coolant ones?

I had a coolant outlet hose fail on the offside of the car just above the turbo. Unfortunately this has required the removal of the entire front lower section and LH turbo to get to the hose. With the heat generated in this area I'm surprised that the hoses aren't braided or wrapped in a heat sheild.
