Hi Ross, I haven't used it as no sooner had I purchased it than I read that they screw with the electronics in the car...I'll see if I can find the info and post it here and on Maseratioz unless someone on here can do a quick post on the subject

Hi Geoff,
I find that suprising, every mobile phone has Bluetooth and every hands free kit uses it, it sounds a lot like mobile phones interfering with aircraft navigation, and just as likely.
I would give it a try in another car (your wife's maybe?) and see what happens, Maserati computers/electronics are no more sensitive than any others, just a little less relaible :)

RossWA, I think he was referring to the OBD as opposed to the BT. There have been reports (on another forum at least) that the continual polling of some of the OBD readers used in this way make some of the ECU's throw a bit of a tantrum.

Can't recall the precise details, and may be totally wrong of course.

Looks great, but Mike, give us some more feedback please!

Have you seen the weather....Maser tucked up nice and warm indoors at the moment!
I need to catalog what it can read, only been out once since I bought it.
It certainly reads error codes and pending codes, if any.
Voltage, that's an easy one.
Water temperature, yes, it's nice to see a digital readout. While stationary it goes up...fan cuts in...it then goes down. The analog gauge is not that accurate to see this.
Will report more....

Hi,

I use a heads up display in mine that is connected to the OBD, every now and again it screws the gear change and stops it selecting, it has also Made the whole dash light up. I have had to pull over and restart he car to reset it.
I doesn't do any lasting damage and only happen on a few occasions.
It's a something that I did worry about at first but it only seems to happen when I'm starting off and the HUD is calibrating.
I think that the unit uses Canbus but this not 100% implemented to standard in our cars, at least not in 2002 cars, I could be wrong of course.
