Clutch issues

Hi everyone my granturismo mc shift was stuck in 2nd gear today and wouldn’t select any other gear luckily I wasn’t far from home and got back I then turned it off and all seemed fine does this sound like clutch slipping

It certainly possible. Did you have any lights on the dash? Do you know when it was replaced and what mileage it has done? You would need to get it plugged in to know for sure.

If in its late 30k’s early 40k’s I would imagine this is the beginning of the end.

No lights just come up gear unavailable

"gear unavailable " might point towards F1 pump and systems. The hydraulic systems does both clutch operation and shifting gears via an accumulator. When the acc runs out of pressure the pump runs and tops up pressure.
Do a search here, for advice on the pump which needs to run at intervals.
Too often is bad - might mean leaks or ineffcientpump
Not often or never might be hard fault.

Don’t think it’s ever had a clutch replacement can they go at just 23,000 miles

It’s not the clutch then. Probably needs a new battery and a gear relearn

Can anyone recommend a specialist in essex to diagnose my clutch problem

I would carry on using it until the clutch goes pop - then get the AA/RAC to take it to Sports Italia - You may find out is was just a glitch and enjoy those c10k miles you still have left in the current one.

Just a bit worried driving it around in case it happens again

Had similar on mine, wouldn’t go into 1st, the pressure plate had gone @16k miles and then needed a new clutch.
