Some of you may reall me making several runs to Liverpool a while ago and even mentioned I was doing some work on the DIY SOS Big Build....

Well the time is upon us for the screening of this magnificent project and it is by far the greatest they have taken on in 10 years of the program...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0175m8w

It is being screened this Thursday 21:00 on BBC1 (I assume HD as well) and highlights will be repeated in short films on the Children in Need night later this month.

Ah yes, what was I doing?

I was installing on ouf our outdoor gyms in the overgrown rats nest of a garden... To see the transformation during the build is astonishing!

The Great Outdoor Gym Co. provided four items and a sign; I installed them and they were also gifted the surfacing underneath and Ashfords Ace Transport provided the delivery as well.

See my ugly mug in any number of shots; as Dayglow Derek during the pre-install piece in the garden, during the install and after when they filmed the finished article.

For the reveal they took some shots of all the trades walking into the site as a mass.... Look for me in the last but fourth row far right.

At other tmes in the reveal but mostly when we all come into the hall I'm dead centre in the second row!!!

Fat ugly bugger wearing a black t-shirt & green numpty jacket....

10 minutes to go.... Wonder if I'll get more time on screen than Urby in Candy Cabs? I tried the Urby nod in the hall shoot!

With so much work completed on this mamoth project, over 300 trades taking part the producers must have had a nightmare trying to cut it into just an hour, would have been more comfortable as an hour and a half or even a two parter. I think we did flippin well with some great shots of the gym and the garden reveal. I will remember those screams of delight for a long time...
