It does look expensive when compared to the one dicky had in recently at a similar price, but when you compare it to the other maserati results on collecting cars for 4.7 s models which from memory made about £18k it does seem a bit under.

I also find it hard to quantify the impact that miles actually have on the price. What’s a 40k vs 60k vs 70k car worth given similar spec and condition.

No idea….
From my casual observations a sub 40k Maserati makes strong money, at 60k they are much as 25% reduced and 70k almost unsellable unless bargain basement prices.

Can you imagine the scuttle shake!!? To think one can buy a Maserati for the price this heap of **** will sell for.....

Ah, but for that price the Maserati won't have chrome bumpers, overriders, and Rostyle wheels!

Anarchy, acts of terror, crimes against the public. To combat it I've got special men - experts from the army, the police, from every service - these are The Professionals.

Healthy guide o_O

Big Money there but being young and impressionable back then I had to have a silver 3.0S and loved it.

Problem may be that when the older chaps that think spending 50k on an old Ford kick the bucket, the younger generation won’t get it and crash. And will never recover. And why should they. I’m old enough to remember to they mediocre when they came out.
i tend to agree with you on that, it's a generational thing with some motors

A few personal highlights from RM Sotheby's Monterey auction. While the likes of the Group B cars are appealing, as for the cars I'd actually buy and drive – 964 Turbo 3.6, 928 GTS, 968 Turbo S prototype, Lancia Hyena, and Delta. And the AMG to ferry me about while have a nap in the back.

30 year rule.

Car price peak at 30 years because those who wanted one at 20 couldn't afford one, then after the mortgage is paid and kids flown the nest, daddy has disposable income.

To a lesser degree I’ve seen that happening in my 60 years. In the classic car boom of the late 80s MGs we’re still held in high regard by all but it seems in recent times the young car fanatics tend to associate them with old timers like myself.
The motorbikes we called superbikes in the 70s I often see poodling along in the slow lane during the Summer with everything overtaking them.
Nostalgia over reality.
