Well I love the contrast between the grey and the Bordeaux, that's what sold the car to me, so what anybody else likes matters not a jot:whocares:
Sorry I meant the grey and blue on the linked car.
Your car actually works - it’s cohesive.
The almost cyan with plain grey… either you go bonkers (like a Ghibli II Primatist) or you go subtle (all grey)…

Brightwells have this 2003 Maserati Spyder CambioCorsa - V888 JPH:

A little tired around the edges - leather coming away in picture 45 and some corrosion(?) on the boot lid not very successfully hidden by the gold stripes in picture 60. But, only 25,000 miles and a pretty clean MoT history on the positive side.

Looks like it may have appeared in a previous auction, as the keys are tagged "lot 37" but it's lot 41 in this auction.

Early car which needs a bit of TLC but if the mechanical maintenance is up to scratch and the price is right could be good value. The bubbling under the gold stripe could just be air bubbles in the stripe, strange place for rot, so maybe just removing the stripes might correct that issue.

I'm not sure it will make the £15k-£20k estimate looking at previous recent sales. Has had a new clutch but needs wheel refurbs, headliner sag sorted and a some paint attention in a few hours.

There’s a good chance it won’t make its reserve - many don’t. But its very hard to find a one owner QP V, or one with only 17k miles, or one in the best colour - so given this ticks all three boxes, it has to be worth considerably more than the usual 5 owner, 70k mile cars that go for around the £10k mark.

I‘m not in the market, but at bottom estimate I still think it makes sense.

Yup, I agree it isn't easy to find them. Would prefer a ZF Auto like many do on the QPV but the DS isn't a deal breaker as has its upsides.

I don't get why someone wouldn't spend a couple of quid and get the headliner done, the wheels refurbished and any easy paint corrected. Maybe even fix that b pillar trim. I'm sure it would be much easier to sell and make a far better price.

Otherwise it will just sell at trade price as anyone taking it on has a.little but of time and hassle straight off the cuff. So the likely sell price will reflect this I expect.

Seems a little odd the b pillar is so damaged and the seat looks a little worn for a car of 17k miles. The alloys looked very very well kerbed and I expect the tyres will be old or cracked...or kerbed!

I'll be surprised if it makes £15k and suspect it will be more like £12k tops but who knows. Bonham's never seem to drive the best prices on their auctions as we have discussed on here before. Only takes one punter to want to pay more though.

17k is an awful lot of miles when it’s been done on journeys from Chelsea to Soho. It’d explain the kerbing too ;)

LOL.....I guess we won't know how the miles happened. Seems like the bulk were done the first 3 years then eased off after this and some years hardly any. Older drivers seem to kerb wheels a lot. I have a 2003 206 GTi-180 that an old couple had from new which is mint inside and out with only 20k miles. The alloys were wrecked :D
