Agreed on the alternatives Dicky, but some folk like unicorns which is why two conversions exist (afaik), and someone with a collection might well appreciate it.
Folk who want a rare unicorn usually want it OEM but possibly in a different or rare colour combo/spec. Some people do desire this car, it’s sold about 4 times in 18 months, but clearly nobody enjoys driving it.

Seeing it last weekend I thought it looked better in the flesh than I expected. Still, not for me. Not even at half that asking price.

I know a chap who had Ferraris (355, 456) before moving on to a Silver Shadow and latterly a couple of Astons; he knows little about the technicalities of cars and just buys what he 'likes', and when we were discussing the 355 I asked if he fancied coming to a forthcoming Auto Italia event - he couldn't see the point as he "doesn't do car stuff".

What I mean by 'enthusiast' in respect of the subject car is someone who realises and appreciates the aesthetics of the 3200, and later engineering of a 4200 convertible. I suspect it's being repeatedly flipped by folk who aren't actually that fussed other than to try and make a few quid. There might of course be underlying issues, who knows, but it still presents well and I'm sure it will find a home if/when realistically priced.

I'm in the minority on here, but i like it..........not 37k like it, but like it nonetheless. other than the number plates i think it came together well as a project and took years off the cars looks.

I quite like it to look at, at circa £20k it would make sense to someone. I don’t like the way they drive so not for me, or my business, but I do think it looks good.

I did actually bid on it when it went thru CC auction but I think I tapped out at 21k ish. Like others have said, its kind of interesting and cool. But not 37k worth of interesting or cool. I mean I'm not spending 37k on that over a 50 ish K GT MC stradale.

LHD Indy coming up at Dore & Rees. Has a lack of documented history but looks sharp in the pictures so maybe worth investigating further …

Ohh,
car from the year of my birth, tick.
A Maserati tick
Indy with the later interior tick...
ULEZ compliant, who cares.

Totally agree if it was a choice between a Classic Ford or a Maserati I know what I'd be buying the Ghibli GT.
Classic Ford prices are bizarre. The whole idea of some of these cars was to introduce performance for a working man's wallet.

My brother always liked his Cosworths etc and I keep saying to him "save some money and just buy a Ferrari instead". Which is ridiculous but absolutely true.

Another Auto; Ghiblis are either just so rare or not many manuals sold? Can’t remember the last time I saw a manual for sale, although there was that one Auto that is seemingly always for sale.
