Oh and by the way there is a small screw under the handbrake handle that allows you to remover the hand grip from the handbrake lever and this has to come off so you don't damage the leather surround

The piece with the reversing lever doesn't move in this operation. It should split at the point where the parrot control is coming out.

I'm at a loss, Ross. Without getting my hands on it, it all looks good from here. :(

It may help if you remove the front seats. That way you may be able to see where it is not lifting and at least locate the section you need to examine

I've done it. Big thanks to David Askew, who told me immediately where the bolts were located.

There are two bolts, one either side, at the very front of the centre console where it meets the bottom of the dash. If you put the front seats as far back as possible, then lift the carpet (no need to remove any screws to remove carpet) you will see the two bolts.

I did take some photos but somehow my phone seems not to have saved them.

It took me 2 hours to remove the parrot. Whoever installed it must have spent over a day doing so. There were cable ties everywhere and in the most flipping awkward places. Definitely a two man job that I had to struggle with today.

Anyway, the new Loudlink is in and working well.

Clearly my description was pants :(

Great you got it removed sir! Seems my help was also pants on this occasion! I can vouch for the fact that the 3200 console could have done with bolts there as it gets loose all the time!!!!

You could always bond some brackets on it Davy and bolt it down. On our AC we don't seem to get that problem, is it mounted correctly..??
