Hi,

To clarify the above, the last Itailian I owned was many moons ago..a Fiat 3P, great fun but total ****!

I have just bought a 2005 QP, a good car that I have had thourghly checked out by a trusty workshop. a 'good car', but needs a few items to get it back to perfect running order.

Two coils were were weak, so I ordered two from a prominent Maserati spares dealer a few weeks ago, I have to say they are very slow coming up with the goods, and even then not all of them. They say they cannot get a rear ingition coil anywhere, leaving me a bit stuck as I had hoped to go on a 'Grand Tour' in the next few weeks.

Great site Guys, I hope to get stuck in and get the most out of it!

Hi John, give Alan at Dick Lovett Ferrari Maserati a call in Swindon, quote Matt and the forum and you should get a bit of discount.

QP's are not my thing but was not aware the coil packs were different, but you learn something new every day.

Welcome and hope to meet you at one of the events soon.

Welcome John,
I was considering a QP a while ago to replace my XJR, but decided to go down either a Coupe, or Spyder route instead. The QP is a nice set of wheels. Enjoy the forum, you should get all the help you need from here.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum John. How's Maserati QP ownership so far? You timed it perfectly with the weather. Have you been able to get some miles on it?

Regards, Miles.

Hi,

Firstly, thank you all for your welcome, where else could you discuss porridge and exotic cars on the same forum!

I have put up abound 2 thousand miles in the last few months, using any excuse to justify my wilfull destruction of the enviorment.

I am very much a 'hands-on' person, and will try to resolve any issue that may arise, so expect some serious, and stupid, questions to be winging their way to you soon.

Regards,

John O'

Well yes you're right John, there's us and www.gotmyoatsinamaserati.com, but that's a very different sort of web site! :D

Don't worry about the wanten destruction of the environment. Just plant a tree - I think Bonsai are allowed, so no hardship.

Enjoy your car.

Regards, Miles.
