They're a LOT of car for the money, this one looks to have been treated especially well by the previous owners.

If I had it I'd be excited and nervous every time I went out in it , I'm not cut out for exotic car ownership , the only time I've given a garage anything more than £500 it's involved fitting a new engine.

Last weekend I cocked my mot up on the van , thought it was due in march but last year I took it a day early so lost that extra month

Mot had one day left , took it up Saturday , passed ok
Mot, oil ,air filter,oil filter, fixed the lighter , changed a couple of bulbs £150 , result

Doesn't stop me from wanting exotic cars though :D

TBH that was the feeling on both the Maseratis. Once you get bedded in, it tends to reduce (IME at least) Still quaking in my boots here. Give me 6 months and I'll be getting it chipped :lol:

That's the problem with a lot of other brands, no one to talk to! I've a bearded mate with a pre-war Bentley and he seems to chat away to a similarly afflicted lot easily enough but I suspect it's all about chassis numbers and what type of leather to use in your bonnet strap.........your car looks great BTW, especially the interior with is beautiful.

Congrats on the Bentley?

How do you find it so far? To be honest I've always dismissed these because having had an Audi the similarities can be quite jarring but it does have something special about it.

Well it was a lovely drive home, but it's not been anywhere else :) The neighbours love it.

I've had some messing around getting the stereo set up (pretty good but massively complex) the Carplay set up (can't find a phone mount for love nor money) and got it on a C-Tek.

When i've run it up, starts on the button (sounds like a turbine as it takes a while to spin up before it fires. Great noise!) EPB doesn't bind. No apparent leaks and the suspension goes 3+ days without any noticeable sag. Notwithstanding I've just extended my Warranty by 6 months and binned the £1k per repair limit in favour of a £5k one. Seemed pretty fair for £700 up front.

Tomorrow I need to go to Luton to start clearing my mother's bungalow, as she's moving to a sheltered accommodation flat much closer to my sister. I may take the long way home ;)

Wiper blades have been replaced (that took longer than it should have. Another different type of mount) and the only other fault I've found so far is that the driver's side power door (yes really) doesn't. The module is only a couple of hundred quid and the replacement looks pretty easy (the full workshop manual is available on DVD for £40 which is a pretty good deal, although you need an old Windows install and pre-date to September 2012)

Full valet and clay booked for next Friday

CTek is a good idea! In fact most Bentley's are supplied with one from new! Their various systems really get out of sync if the batteries do go too low. Resetting all 4 windows is a pain, especially after having started on the auxiliary battery, in an airport car park, in an Aberdeen winter snowstorm!...
Bentley even offer a long term preservation service where they will send technicians to preserve your car for you! (Suggested if you are leaving your car for more than a couple of weeks!)
Other perks. I joined the official owners club so got early options on their driving experiences and road trips,, non of which I could afford (but the colour brochures were worth it!)
Additionally I got more invites for track events and sales extravaganzas than ever before!!
It's an experience for sure!
