Hello all from a Noob in Cornwall.

well, 5k is down on an 07 Gransport, being delivered from Edinburgh 31st August. It was a choice to continue with Jags or take the less sensible Maserati route and my heart won
:)

Hope the decision turns out to be a good one and I look forward to discussing my initial thoughts on 1st September, (don't shout at me but I havnt seen the car, its straight from the dealership!!)

regards

Hi slim,

The GS is a good car and one where in the future ill upgrade from my AC to.....

Welcome and fell free to post pics, we do love them on here.....what one did you buy?? What colour combo and what dealer??

Always a gamble buying without viewing esp a maserati but of main dealer then should be alright....

You will be smiling everytime you drive her, or see her.....better bet than the jag....

It presents as a very elegant & prestigious vehicle - have not seen that colour in real life but the photos of exterior & interior are just superb

It certainly will be a stand out

Graypaul are selling it, why maranellos?? Either one have a good rep and im sure you have done well by going main dealer and not private without viewing......

Ill be honest with you.....i never liked green on the GS or any masersti but and im not just saying this i mean it, i saw one similar to yours at stanford hall and i thought it looked excellent....im now swayed....excellent interior one of my favourites....

Low miles, hope you negotiated a little on the price and i think you got a good one there....nice....

Thanks Adam, having read a few more posts tonight I am now more worried about getting an ear bashing for not getting an indie inspection than I am about getting a car with a knackered clutch, ooops!

Sweet - welcome to the fold. You have chosen the best of the Maseratis IMHO.

Lots of good advice awaits you. Hope to see you at one of the meets this year.

Im hoping it looks black in the right light!
Id heard good thing about the dealer so called up and asked if I could work with them, easier for me to put pressure on them than the Guys north of the border if I get any probs. Comes serviced, new clutch, (3k ago), no chips or marks gauranteed and a 12 month unlimited warantee so sounds good on paper...I will be honest with my findings in a post when I have it but I cant wait, wanted one since Hamond on Topgear drove it, like a lot of middle aged blokes I bet :)

Nice.

If you need anyone to look over it, let me know. I'm often down in Cornwall (I'm a surfer by trade, having grown up in the Channel Isles).

Yeah, not much else around other than Carrs. Emblem in Poole is also an option

I always carry an OBDII scanner around with me, so if you get any nasty lights on the dashboard and can't be bothered to travel to the dealers, let me know.

Congrats Slim great choice ,i can assure you coming from jags you wont be disappointed , you'll need 2 tins of Nivea instead of the 1 a month with jags , and your fuel bill will go up , not because its Juicier , but because you find it more difficult to leave the dam thing alone , oh and by the thread headline i thought you had bought an ex drug dealers car , enjoy mate pics soon as please along with a report of your first few days experiences

Congratulations on the purchase Slim. Will look forward to reading of your first impressions. Seems like you've retained the warranty within your deal, which assuming it's the Ferrari / Maserati warranty, is pretty much bullet-proof. Maybe get an inspection once you take delivery and any issues should be covered.

Loz, Eh? Maybe it's too early in the morning for me, but what does "you'll need 2 tins of Nivea instead of the 1 a month with jags" mean?
What has face cream got to do with anything :>)

It's Loz's way of saying Slim will be grinning so much it will take 2 tins a month to stop the laughter lines becoming too obvious. I need 3 personally!

Sorry Ken its my dry sense of humour ( if you can call it humour) no getting away from it tho , havent met anyone yet that hasn't grinned for a whole week after driving their first Maserati , its just not the performance thing that goes without saying , its the actual Kudos of owning such a rare beauty , everyone including the chavs are interested and give the thumbs up

Congratulation & welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty sure GrayPaul had that for sale around Easter last year too, so possibly a car they know well. IIRC, it has the rare ball polished rims on it too. Looks lovely. I contemplated it when I was looking but, honestly, it was too dear for me. Its a very classy combo IMO and I'm sure you'll grow to love it.

Enjoy.
