Broke the heater control dial 3200

So I finished destickying (fingernail, oven cleaner) and refinishing (matt enamel varnish) the dials in my 3200 and I’m happy with the result - as always this forum is a goldmine for solutions.

However, when reassembling I managed to break one of the plastic tabs that holds the heater dial on.

What are my options? Doesn’t appear to be glue-able. I’ve not seen these available to buy anywhere - are they common with another vehicle?

I would have thought polystyrene cement, if you can still get it, or super glue would sort that. Try Soprano Stu, he has lots of 3200 bits.

Piece of a hot needle as a central backbone melted into the two pieces and then epoxy or poly cement.

I don’t have any spare but it should hold in fine with just fine with one clip.
They are very fragile.

Hi from Japan.
Please forgive my poor English.

I drilled a 0.4mm hole and inserted the wire.

Mold the other side with viscosity.Invert the dial, attach the mold, and mold with "acrylic powder" and "ethyl methacrylate".

I purchased everything at the "1 $ Shop".

Thanks everyone for always helping me.

Thanks all. Kota, your work is really impressive! I built up a solid piece of epoxy between the broken piece and central spindle. A wire or pin would’ve been a more elegant solution.

Buttons are now back in the console. They have a very slight sheen, about the same as the leather. I used Mr Muscle oven cleaner and a toothbrush, which didn’t attack the paint underneath, and then Humbrol matt enamel spray.
