Great Scott
Got a little stick for laughing at Farage getting milkshaked. Then remembered he had the same face after his 2010 election campaign (he didn’t win his seat) plane crash, when the ‘VOTE UKIP’ banner it was towing got tangled.
•
I didn’t laugh then. No matter how stupidly dangerous he and his politics are, it was a relief that he and the pilot survived.
•
The pilot, Justin Adams, was left with nothing afterwards. He lost his marriage, his business and his mental health. He couldn’t make an insurance claim until the investigation was over. Farage did nothing to help him. He ignored him and left him in the lurch.
•
Adams became so obsessed with Farage’s callousness that he ended up making death threats towards him. Eventually, Mr Adams killed himself on November 12th 2013.
•
Two weeks ago, Farage ran away from a motor accident, involving a pub landlord and his young son, that he had in Oxted, Surrey.
•
Even after getting millshaked yesterday, he could have even won me over by asking Paul Crowther, the milkshake-ist, to sit down and talk, instead he berated his security for letting it happen. Rather than asking why it happened.
•
I believe we’re all judged, and life is sweeter, by how we behave when we’re challenged to be nicer, kinder and accountable. Farage runs away from any responsibility and blames others for his problems.
•
If you believe his actions ever live up to his words, then I’m afraid you’re in an abusive relationship with Nigel Farage...and it will be your fault the minute it inevitably goes wrong. Always the victim, never the perpetrator. Textbook case of narcissistic psychopathic coercive control.
Snow way I’m paying that.Possibly but I hear they have POLE tax!!!!
Lots of countries would trade with us- they don’t give a hoot whether the Eu gets its money we aren’t legally obliged to pay (House of Lords). We keep hearing, screw the £59billion to the EU they can take a hike, now tell me which country will want to trade with a country that reneges on its trading neighbours............. Would we want to trade with a country that doesn’t hold up its end of the bargain? Anyway off to the polling station now to put an X on someone. All with the human powers of “empirical” reasoning, deduction and I’ll be sure to check my “feelings” at the door, I hasten to add. Ciao for now amici...
Magnificent stuff Markmas...if you would allow me to assist and add some movie magic as to the corruption and total incompetence of S&P et al.I certainly accept the fact that S&P is an independent ratings firm. I also accept the fact that they are demonstrably incapable of providing independent or credible financial or economic evaluations, based on their record of an incompetent, deceptive and near-criminal role in the 2008 sub-prime debacle. I don't see why I should be expected to believe anything that organisation says after that. They should have suffered the same fate as Arthur Andersen after Enron.
And even if one was willing to accept anything S&P says, once again, they have said that the UK has lost £66Bn in 'economic growth' (ie an estimated loss in GDP due to Brexit - since they may have been many other factors) and the Remainer (and economically illiterate) journalist has translated this into 'cost each person £1,000'. But this is turning a (notional) 'economic activity' figure into an actual 'loss' figure. At the simplest level this is confusing 'turnover' with 'P&L', but it is really worse than that, since GDP is such a silly measure of an economy and bears only slight relationship to individual financial well-being.
And, finally, Remainers continue to go on about the supposed damage to the UK economy from 'Brexit uncertainty' and then 'Brexit' (presumably), based on all sorts of analysis and forecasting which may or may not be credible, but they do not pay attention to what the economiv conseuences of staying in the EU might be (using the same sorts of - made up - analysses and forecasts) which can be spun to show the EU haveing a golden future or being a complete disaster. The choice is alwasys presented as 'stay with the lovely EU, which will always be fine' vs 'face the inevitable doom of independence'.
And really finally, Remainers don't 'get' that most Brexiters are willing to take a certain amount of economic pain (if there is some), in order to do the right thing (even people without wealth and privilege). Just as it was worth experiencing some pain to try to deal with the attempted or successful European conquests of Britain in 43, 991, 1066, 1554, 1588, 1597, 1688, 1803-1805, 1939-1940 and 1973.
Exited already. Smart move.Say no more.View attachment 57049exu

Or is it that he is standing in support of his political beliefs, even though leaving the EU might not be in his personal interest?I don't get 'the joke'. Is it that all Brexit candidates are 'supposed to be' little-Englanders who hate foreigners?
Depends on how “pre-disposed” you are in your thinking MrMasI don't get 'the joke'. Is it that all Brexit candidates are 'supposed to be' little-Englanders who hate foreigners?
What do you mean it doesn’t have the numbers? We voted leave. No caveats. And of course just the small matter that our sovereign parliament doesn’t have the numbers for that glorious no deal that Brexiteers so desperately want because of course that’s what apparently everyone wanted and campaigned for all along from the beginning. General Election anybody?
What a sacrifice. Respect.Or is it that he is standing in support of his political beliefs, even though leaving the EU might not be in his personal interest?
Broken record Wattie??? Changing the singer won’t change the song I’m afraid. The Tories couldn’t agree, they had their chance to deliver Brexit. They blew it. Having someone who “believes more” doesn’t change the reality of it. I’m no fan of Teresa but this is not all her fault, her fault was that she fed the sharks in her own party for too long at the beginning and by not reaching out until it was too late. What do you mean it doesn’t have the numbers? We voted leave. No caveats.
17,400,000.
Beating you losers.
We weren’t asked what we wanted other than stay or leave.
Loser MP’s interpreted the result according to their softest option....and suggested we didn’t know what we were voting for.
Our, your remainer Pm, said no deal is better than a bad deal- didn’t she?
Then she ** the hole thing up to a degree of fuckedness that is so ** you cannot comprehend how ** she ** it all up...
Except we can cos now she’s ** it up so badly everyone wants her to **** off.
Oh MC, I think you’re about to experience a new album...never mind a singer and song!Broken record Wattie??? Changing the singer won’t change the song I’m afraid. The Tories couldn’t agree, they had their chance to deliver Brexit. They blew it. Having someone who “believes more” doesn’t change the reality of it. Now please, no more smashing your PC table in frustration. We are all frustrated and unhappy with what is happening...love you lots, best regards from gorgeous sunny United Kingdom.
