Actually I think there are 70k, which when generally I think they work on 2 support for every fighting soldier gives about, 23k armoured / infantry soldiers, bearing in mind the REME was 10k when I joined up, so basically halved in 30 years. I think...ish

It’s worse
I’ll get the exact figures this weekend
But doesn’t account for medically fit non deplorable, FTRS - home commitment,
Sick, lame and lazy etc....,,,,,,

There you go Wattie, now’s your chance, sign the petition and share the wealth...xx:p:D go on I dare you, I double dare you :D:p:Dhttps://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584
This would conflict with my SMDRP petition and principals......unless of course I was given leadership status upon signing which allowed me to negotiate the terms of Article 50 withdrawal for all you remainers.
I promise to enforce it on behalf of you all....soon, and I’d immediately set a meeting date for 29th March 2026 to enable me to do some research.
Do we have a deal?

For once I was been optimistic, but being on the various REME FB pages I know it worse, quite worrying actually.

Morning all, oops evening!
Just putting my snag on the barbie for brekkie....can’t wait to see what TM has been up to in Brussels.
Didn’t think we had 3500 troops in our army anymore??

When ever you write 'we', don't forget you should be writing 'you', 'your' instead of 'our' etc, you don't live in the UK anymore remember!

Err I’m not sure wattie can I go check with JRM, his nanny and the rest of the ERG because I cannot make a decision without their permission and I’m not sure they’ll let me drop their redlines or do what is right because it’s all about the money and not principles......;)

Oh, I wish I was that clever, I’d have ran for a seat in Parliament, unfortunately I’ve been for a couple “hic” beers and an Italian, think you would approve, the Lasagne was amazing and Pizza quite delightful.

Lasagne and pizza? I approve a lot!

I’ve missed the daily SMDRP campaign update, what level has the petition reached now?

1/2 n 1/2, pizza n pasta, 3 of us, bottle of Pinot Grigio, £40; was really good, SWMBO is here Brexit day “ on topic” and her Birthday so will give it another go I think, provided the travel situation isn’t deadlocked....then I’m on my own...

Absolutely disagree, I’ve lived all over the world, Africa, Asia, Europe, Canada, Cyprus, and I’ve never felt I wasn’t British, home is where the heart is.

You have worked all over the world, that is different to living in another country and saying you aren't coming back, it's not your home anymore?

I think Expats are amongst the most patriotic people you'll ever meet. There isnt a royal birthday, sports event, halloween or any other minor British tradition that isnt celebrated with a dance, meal or some other organised event.
You feel part of a special community tied to your homeland.
I'll guarantee I've celebrated more british traditions than just about all of you that live in the UK....ex expats excepted. That a lot od ex's!

Tough one, I’ve met people all over the world, in various countries, and when you ask them where “home” is they generally say their point of origin. For instance, there is a guy here, been here 40 years, 67, I think he is, goes back to uk once, twice a year, I distinctly heard him say he was goin* home for a couple of weeks, and btw, he hasn’t lost his scouse accent, but is fluent danish, imagine what that sounds like...

No its not, but that doesn't lessen the ties, especially with family there.
And when I voted I expected it to be respected, win or lose which is why I follow this shambles with interest.
It would be good if i could be excommunicated from Scotland, it would save me the agony of having to endure our footie results.
WTF happened last night? This guy was playing up front for them!
