Brexit Deal

If anyone is frustrated by the lack of progress and answers to the Brexit debacle, you may wish to direct your enquiries to 55 Tufton Street in Westminster, the home of those “think tanks” and associated “special interest bodies” and steering groups, who don’t declare where their funding comes from. What’s that?! What do you mean ERG members are based there!? What do you mean they have our best interests at the forefront........ and what’s that you say Aaron Banks just got fined £120k for passing on his insurance customers details to the leave campaign database!!!! No honest guv I really wasn’t trying to tilt the playing field, no honest I wasn’t!:D

They may well say bye bye to us Phil, the referendum has set that possibility ever closer they rely on Europe and they voted to stay. No one wants that to happen but they also didn’t vote to be poorer either. It sucks either way
Actually, they rely on the rest of the UK much more than they rely on Europe in trade terms, but they would rather leave the UK and stay in the EU. Go figure

That would all be fine but we voted to leave. The majority don’t want to be involved anymore.
You’re answer totally ignores that fact.
It’s a bit like Jonw
“As such, I’m convinced it will either get delayed, or get sorted”
Delay an exit.... you mean we remain?
Or get sorted?- Europe recognizes democracy in action, understands were off and seeks a good deal for all!

Sorry, but my world is nowhere near as black and white as that.... and the shades of gray and nuances, perceptions and different perspectives are what make it such a fascinating complicated place.

They would never be accepted as a country in their own right as Scotland's exports for 2015 ( so a little out of date) only totalled £76 billion, of which £48.5 billion (64%) was with constituent nations of the UK, £11.6 billion with the rest of the EU, and £15.2 billion with other parts of the world.
They are too small a player to be accepted as a member state in my opinion only of course.

Totally agree but when has any referendum been based on fact. The Independence vote will whip them into a fury, play all the olds cards about how England has stolen all their North Sea oil revenues etc.

Geoff I’d rather stay 100% in than bugger around with a diabolical deal to make it look like we’ve left.
What’s the point in that........Its not what I voted for.
