Brand Image - Maserati or Aston Martin?

I've had plenty of people comment on my car - both directly and indirectly - through work but I take the view that if I only drove it at weekends then I would be missing out a lot on the ownership experience.

I drive a van to move things around most days of the week so couldn't drive the Masa even if i wanted to. But come the weekend or any other weekday that the opportunity presents itself, the instant I lift the garage door I literally just can't help but smile. For me at least, the fact that I don't drive it everyday, enhances my driving experience and I'm not sure if I would feel the same if she was a dd.

I love lobster/crayfish but if I ate it everyday, I don't think my mouth would water at the sight of it after say 6 months - just my opinion.

In Greece, Maseratis are slightly higher than Astons regarding numbers, before the GT launch. BUT the main millionaire gets a ferrari or a carrera turbo, and the drug dealer gets a lambo. Hundreds of lambos here in the last decade..

drugs and prostitutes Frank.. Black money everywhere!

...............................oooopppsss......part of your problem Nikos........it was the same in Ireland before the Celtic tiger was born....they threatened the multi-millionaires, who then re-patriated £100s of millions...which, with EU money primed the market and solidifed the banks balance sheets, then someone lit the fuse.........and that was the end of the CT!!

Too many AM's driven by a fat/balding middle aged men with a 007 style plate continually looking sideways to see who's looking at them. Sums it up.

Yeah, that sums us all up perfectly. You've got me to a tee! I actually drive out with a group of about 20-30 Pistonheads guys quite regularly... not one of them fits that description!

Honestly, I leave you lot alone for 5 minutes and look what happens :)

I'll always love Maserati and would desperately love a QP to run alongside my DB9... In fact, I'd actually like Enzo's QP ;)

AM resorted to a picture of a woman p!ssing into a kitchen sink in order to try sell it's used stock. The subtext being... you poor people can't really afford her, but hey, sloppy seconds?......

Go AM... good way to connect with your prospective clientele.

Brand image?......??????

It was very, very fake Miles, based on a BMW ad that was actually real. The picture was from German Playboy, but my word did she have nice legs...

Aston are actually suing, but at the same time have acknowledged that traffic has gone up on their pre-owned site by 300%!!

Hey Frank!! Good to hear from you... I have missed this place!!

Stuck my Alfa in the classifieds on here being an Eye-talian car, hopefully someone will give it a good home.

I'll be 40 next year and we want to stay in London... We're up to 6 cars at the moment and the maths don't work so they are being rationalised sadly. I will, for the short term at least, have the DB9, a Morgan Plus 8 and a Land Rover Discovery for Sarah to drive slowly in ;)

I'm allowed a proper classic when i know how to fix it if it breaks; the Alfa has been turnkey reliable but an E-Type or the like scares the bejesus out of me!

Hey Lewis, How the devil are you? Well I hope?

I have a friend in the market for a Spider and will pass on the details of your car. I suspect he's not expecting to go to that sort of budget, but your's is certainly sorted and looks stunning (wouldn't expect anything less), so worth giving him the nod.

As for the ad, I assumed it was a viral, but that it's a real Beemer ad is pretty dismal. Who they gonna sue by the way, or is that just the appropriate response given the "damage" (massively increased traffic to their used site! :D) has been done? :D

How's the Aston? Have you got it how you want it yet?

Regards, Miles.
