My honest opinion is that the front splitter looks awful with that step, it doesn't follow the lines of the car or accentuate them at all, side skirts are too fussy and the extra vents in the rear skirt below the exhaust outlets shouldn't even be there, they add nothing visually or dynamically.

A more aggressive chin does look good but I'm sure there's a better evolution out there or even a GranSport style splitter.

I realise that these are not everyone's cup of tea but I like the look!
Would the kit fit my 2003 4200? Are there alternative similar looking kits about?

To save some time, here is a sample of some of the feedback you might expect to the same body kit but with a far brasher colour scheme...

One of the key concerns with these things is how well they actuall fit the real car without leaving unsightly gaps. At the end of the day it is down to what pleases your eye.

Though please steer clear of post #26 on this thread - for your own sake...

I think the 4200/GS can gain a little bit of poise and agression from a front spoiler. since the stock nose looks a little 'thin' for my liking. Not easy to find tasteful ones, though. I think Bigfoot had a reasonably decent one for his GS IIRC.

Hi YHTM, You're probably already getting the general opinion on these kits, and I'm not going to be any different as I think they're awful. Sorry, just my opinion.

Might be worth looking at lowering your car as an alternative though. It's surprising how much this adds to the cars 'presence' and you preserve those lovely lines, along with about a thousand of your hard earned fox and hounds.

Looks like I am the odd one out then! Reminds me of my school days when I discovered no-one else fancied Valerie Singleton!!

Just think that the car could do with looking a little more aggressive but not seen many options.

i liked it but then i am noted as having little or no taste.
If it could be done well i can see it being a real head turner...... but not in maserati circles sadly.
Its a diffucult call as they company is non UK and the price for the 4 panels is a bit steep really.
At half that cost i would take a punt and get my local maserati approved panel shop (car craft) to do a real interesting conversion.
problem is you have to pay so much to see the degree of skill the panels have been made with and if they are even 1-2cm out then it will look like a dogs dinner without heavy filler work and that would be a shame.
Its tempting only as a reversable kit and you keep your original panels for when you sell the car

and to those on the forum....I`ll get me coat!

Thanks Adam, nice to know I'm not totally alone!
With that kit there is obviously no guarantee that it will fit properly and I certainly wouldn't want to go down the filler route. I'm not clear about the car craft option - how would that work?

sorry its Carrs bodyshop are an Exeter bodyshop approved by aston, maserati, ferrari etc and as such are likely to do a sterling job (we hope better than carrs maserati anyway) that involves precision rather than filler work.
It is fibreglass so the solution after a fitting would be to shape the bumpers to the car and if necessary add fibreglass to make the bumper etc meet the panels.
I for one would be happier to see the product finishing before i commited, but its one i look at fairly regular as i do want something a little different.
I am not sure it will fit a spyder though as its a shorter wheel base than yours

still they say they will import the kit for viewing before you commit to buy it,based in NORTH LONDON AREA but if i had to guess i would say this is just panels and fitting them would be a nightmare as i doubt the fitting links would have been in the moulds.
as they sugest a pro bodyshop and a lot of money...
