Bluetooth Loudlink for 4200

Doesn't he have a chain of restaurants?
Afraid the Nando that frequents sportsmaserati wishes he had a chain of restaurants...

I have the standard Loudlink gadget. Works very well though a bit cumbersome in the armrest - but it's out of sight and means I'm not dependent on the CD player that jumps at every road surface imperfection. I use mine with either an iPod Nano or iPhone 4s. Never used the SD card functionality.

The Bluetooth version would allow a more stealthy install behind the dash or in the glovebox.

Hello Nando:thumb3:
I think the Bluetooth version is a great idea from Loudlink.
Do you know which lead to order to connect the loudlink to the back of the NIC?
Cheers!

Hi Nando,
I have looked at the Loudlink web site, do you get just the black box with SD card slot, or a screen also, a bit confusing?? Is the 4200 fitted with Blaupunkt hardware then, I plan to get a 4200 and would be interested to know what kit is in it? Strangely enough, I was looking at a 4200 in Nuvolari?
Cheers

I think this is a seperate install to the Loudlink CD emulator. It does not look like this is an emulator at all. It would be interesting to know if this will double up with the emulator as I have this installed... I find it fine just frustrating that it always defaults to the CD 1 Track 1 if you turn it off for just a second!

It's instead of the CD emulator with SD card, it's just Bluetooth instead of the SD card, with hands free mobile phone via Bluetooth, and stereo audio via Bluetooth.

I can only comment on the kit I have, the bog-standard version - not read enough about the Bluetooth version.

All you get is the black (or in my case, grey) box. The way it works is:
1) rip apart your armrest console
2) unbolt the NIT
3) tear knuckles whilst blindly trying to connect a very long Blaupunkt cable to the back of NIT
4) connect other end of cable to Loudlink unit
5) shove all excess cable in any viable space
6) rebuild armrest

Then I use a 3.5mm headphone jack <-> iPod dock connector cable to link with iPhone.

If you have a CD changer, it will be rendered useless as you will plug your Loudlink cable where the Blaupunkt changer interfaces with the NIT. It worked perfectly for me as I didn't have a CD changer.

The interface on your screen will show 6 disks, one will be dedicated to the AUX on the Loudlink (iPhone for me) and the rest driven by folders on the SD card.

Does any of the above make sense???

I was looking at a 4200 in Nuvolari?
After much research it proved to be the fastest colour... :)

Same for me but much less of an issue as I have my AUX assigned to CD1 and run Spotify from my iPhone - so resumes from the point of disconnection of phone.

There's a conversion kit for 4200's fitted with a blaupunkt 6 cd player whereby the iphone takes the place of the cd player. I have the 5 cd player version and it's not compatible :-(

Crikey, isn't there a simpler way to do this, plug and play phone, satNav, movies, sky tv etc????

Er no I'm afraid.

I had the same kit in my 4200 with aux in set up and it was fine. Just fiddly to install but okay after that.

Right, the cars here now, so I am going to have to read up and fiddle a bit, has bluetooth in for the phone already.
