Black facelift 4200

Hill hold is just a little thing only really relevant to manuals and semi's all it does is hold the foot brake on for about a second once u let your foot off the brake on a ....hill......or slope, I have it on the 159 and tbh I find it a pain in the a55 as I take my foot off and straight on the gas so u end up revving a little before the brakes release, so used to cars without it though.

On a manual anyone without good clutch control who finds that they need it IMO shouldnt be bloody well driving in the first place.

Not sure I believe all the upgrade hype, I mean it was registered 1/1/2006, so at the very best it's a late 2005, maybe even earlier. I thought the last mechanical / software upgrades were done on the 2003 when they sorted out the software? Normally wrong so happy to be corrected :-)

the software was 2003? i had a feeling itwas done with the facelift in 2004.....either way it should have come with it

The modifications as far as I can gather, were on late 2004 cars onwards and especially on the facelift. They were supposed to change the CC gearbox settings software, steering and suspension, the story goes these were supposed to be very similar if not the same as the GS.

Now I need to test drive a couple of older 4200's to compare with my June 2004 to determine if I do have the gearbox software upgrades!! Having said that I'm really happy with what I have so why stress myself, even if sometimes pulling away in 1st is like trying to handle a pack of puppies on short leads lol

I had to find out about the gearbox software. I contacted Maranello and they confirmed that software updates have to be done, so on my 4200 they would have been done prior to it leaving their dealership.
