Sold, to the fool whose heart rules his head. MS, thanks for the kind offer. I couldn't resist in the end. Been wanting one for a couple of years and though it's not the facelift, it looks amazing! Hillocks to the depreciation! Now I don't feel like an imposter on here any more either.

The one slightly odd thing about driving it that was annoying is I couldn't see how lovely it looked. Roll on next Saturday.

Seriously congrats. Can't wait to clap eyes on it. You lucky chap !

Tried Admiral? If you have another car to insure as well their multi-car policies can be pretty good. Mine came down a lot by putting Mrs N on the policy, too.

Wowser! I'd already got a quote from them, the current cheapest at £1100, but I've just added her to the policy and it's come down £150 quid. All of a sudden, an insurance actuary sounds like an interesting occupation. Madness. Thanks for the advice.

If you havent already sorted it, speak to Denrick from RKH (formerly MWA). Phone 01234 298386 or e-mail Den.Smith@rkhis.com. I've been with him three years running now and he's always provided the cover I want at the most sensible price. Happy for you to tell him I put you in touch.

Yes Denrick from RKH sorted me out last year, but this year was uncompetitive, so went with A-Plan, another recommended specialist insurer.

Haha! Excellent - you've got it bad, Tipmethewink. I've had mine since May and can't stop grinning every time I look at it, let alone drove the thing. Well done!

Ha. Thats the spirit.

Only just put 2+2 together here....and piossibly getting 22, but was the previous owner of that a guy called Chris? Had it from Meridien and only owned the car for a relatively short period of time? c3-4 months?

Yes, I've picked it up! I never guessed it would be so good. Woody, I don't know the chaps name but I did buy it from Meridien and it is only 6 months old. I've come across a chap on Piston heads who looks like the previous owner but for some reason I can't get an active account on there otherwise I'd have sent him a message.

I'll post some pictures once I've has chance to take some. It's hard to drag myself out of the driving seat. If it snows tomorrow I'll cry.

If its the same chap, Chris5150 or similar, he owned the latest GranSport in Bianco Fuji from new which tempted him back to the GT-S. He wasnt impressed with it, which you might think "what!!" until you hear his previous car and replacement car was a 458! What a lovely run of cars....

Yes, that's the chap. He can keep his 458s! I'd like to drive one one day but I'm not a Ferrari fan and I don't want a road going race car. I do know what he means about the interior though. The console and instruments are not the loveliest of things in the grand scheme but I find the rest of it really really hard to fault.
