Best sounding car.

will still sound great though, take it it is the 1.6 Vtec?? I think the older V tec units sound better than the newer units unless it is a Mugen Civic FN2, that sounds like a touring car.

Yeah she is a 97 1600 vtech and goes well 160bhp but after the DMS experience she may have more as she is on a 100k.

If DMS have breathed some magic onto it, it might be as quick as the ek9 type r, that had 185 bhp. What colour is your Ek4?? I like them in black.

Saw a rare EK4 the other day, it was the Jordan edition, quite liked it, not seen one in years.

oh right, i dont know, was reading on ek9.org earier, one lad on there had put his car on the rollers, 114k miles, still producing 183bhp. Cant go wrong with the V Tec units, built like an outside toilet. I think a Vtec engine is the only engine built where it has never blown up or had serious mechanical faliure.

That doesn't sound like a standard VTec to me....My friend has an early Integra Type R and doesn't sound as nice as that...Bet he has sports exhaust/induction etc...

They are special little motors and boy do they change attitude once you go beyond 6,000 rpm.
My rally mates are now sticking S2000 lumps into Escorts with 240bhp in standard form.

Can be picked up for good money now as well. Still think they look nice as well, especially in black with red leather.

I have been grabted permission to get an S2000 as a commuting car if we move :) Will have to do about 15k miles/yr, should be OK for a Honda.

First car was one of the first 400 official UK Integra Type-Rs and I was also lucky enough to drive Honda UKs press NSX. It was yellow with black leather, you'd have loved it Adam!! Both of them at about 8000rpm plus were life changing cars!

All three of them are absolute bargains now. Would love an NSX one day, not fair to run 15k miles/yr on one though.

Lewis, your first car was an Integra Type R??? bloody h3ll, bet you thought you were the nuts driving one of those. I want an EK9 Civic Type R the most, my fave Honda bar the NSX although i want a DC2 Integra as well but would have to be black.

Yellow NSX, ahhhh heaven, will have to get one one day.

S2000 in Black with red leather is such a nice car, i would buy one just for the noise, it would make a great everyday car as the v tec units are bombproof. V Tec engine is the most reliable engine ever made, read that in a magazine some where.

They said on Top Gear that there has never been a warranty claim on the V Tech system. Speaks volumes for Hondas engineering quality.

CRX, my dad had one of those, said you have to keep them above 6k rpm as there is no power low down.

The honda dealer near me has the odd type r in but usually full of Jazz's
