The V12 in the DBS is just incredible! The F355 with it's 5 valve engine and no variable valve timing will always be a unique sounding Ferrari. My old 4200 with it's Pro-Speed exhaust will take some beating when blipping for a downchange! But the one I remember the most was an Enzo driving across a junction in Las Vegas on a high revving but trailing throttle, never heard anything quite as good :)

Racing cars: At Le Mans, the Spykers with their Audi V8s, the Panoz cars with their Ford V8s and always the Corvettes!

Morgan Aero 8, they make one h3ll of a noise. I also like the Honda Vtec Type R 1.8 in the integra, sound awesome at 8000rpm.

Yes i bet Matt's car sounded amazing with those Larini pipes.

Just listen to Andy's Granturismo S as well, when the GT S starts up the ground vibrates.

I was quite surprised, and impressed, by the sound of Lees 3200 with sports rear pipes. Very bassy and full of character. Very nice. Mind you a GS in sport going full chat sounds nice too. In short, Maseratis. Full stop!

If you get to this year's Silverstone Classic, listen out for the Group C Mazda. That thing sounds as if it's travelling at a thousand miles an hour when idling and you can hear it screaming from the other end of the track.

In fact, it is usually driven by its owner at a somewhat less than competitive pace. When I attend, my car club is usually placed directly on the exit of Bridge. You hear this thing approach and expect it to come hurtling around the corner. But, instead, it sedately trundles past, its engine wailing like a banshee.

Far, FAR away from the best sounding engine. But, one not to be missed.

I liked the M3 and the Ferrari Adam but the GT, well, revving it a bit in a car park doesn;t really show a great deal.

I need to get a new fly by of mine now that it only has a single silencer and no manifold cats :D

Problem with most alfa v6's unless REALLY opened up on exhaust is that all you can hear in videos is tyre noise.

Wonder how long it'll be until they're nicked for road racing after posting that on youtube.
Doesn't look like they know the chap in the Black SEAT, so just be wary of being videoed you if you're "playing" with someone.

Back on topic... It does sound good. But what were the double blipps about on the down changes?

Yeah they need to be careful videoing things like this, especially when number plates are visible.

not sure about the blips, think it is because he downshifting very early and hitting the rev limiter.
