Been out in the car a few times and everything is working except the electric handle on the driver's door. This was the problem to begin with and suggests that this isn't a battery problem.

Does anyone know if the micro switches can fail and if it is an easy fix?

Normally easy entry or comfort is when you have the fob in your pocket and press the button on the handle to unlock the door. This is not my understanding of Maserati's version of easy entry

According to Audi, that's keyless entry.....

BMW's comfort access is as contigo says, basically he car opens when you get with within a few feet of it with the key fob, so the fob can stay in your pocket / man bag the whole time and car will lock when you walk away from it

From the handbook
Easy entry/exit system
The easy entry/exit system makes it
easier for the driver to get in and out
of the vehicle. In fact, before the driver
gets out, the seat moves back and the
steering wheel rises.

Well I never. I know the wheel can't rise. I suspect the seat can't go any further back either :)

Who are you calling portly? :) However Catman must be one the lengthy side if it's already all the way back!

As a certified short **** I can testify that the seat sliding back when you open the door is more than a little disconcerting and had me reaching for the handbrake at first! Feels like the car's rolling forward!!

So - the trip to Le Mans hasn't sorted the driver's side electric handle. It worked for 24 hours and then stopped again. I'll try another reset and see if that helps but any other ideas gratefully received.
