Battery starter pack

10% off is just the start of a discount, which can be wiped out by the top but 30% off, now we're talking.
Amex often do a shop locally offer but living in a village with only a pub as the local shop makes a mockery out of dry January...

Just got the extra Noco Genius GB70 hard case as wasn't content with the included original soft bag offering. Big improvement [emoji6]

Bargain shopper me. I find buying right is the key to be able to sell easy or at the right price.

I generally work as hard as I can to buy something as cost effectively as I can.

I buy a fair amount of kit for really low numbers often to sell to our customer base and for jobs. Means we can achieve great margins on lower value items than we could with new kit from disty stock.

Also great for the planet re using perfect good kit rather than buying new all the time. Also customer gets the right kit at a great price. Everyone wins.

That stumped me as well. Takes forever to charge on USB, although less time than I expected if that makes any kind of sense

I've used a USB 3 pin UK plug socket to charge mine wit the shipped u
uSB cable as have various that came with torches etc. that seem to work OK. I just leave it on charge in the garage though so have no idea if they are better/quicker.

Just watched this video on my lunch break......I know how to live :D

Just goes to show how much these kind of units have moved on as this is only the NOCO GB40. I like other bought the next one up so the GB70. Good to know even the GB40 performs so well.

For those that are summer cars high days and hollidays I used to buy a new battery every year and treat it as part of the motoring cost, I'm told the trouble with batteries that are used intermittently is the plates get a build up of oxide/debris inside and hence power gets drained and lost, this can continue to such an extent that the plates completely warp and thus your working on 5 cells instead of 6. If your a DIYer and feel comfortable working with acids/corrosive toxic mixtures then it is possible to drain and flush the battery out with distilled water , several times , shaking the battery upside down to empty said debris, once your happy its as clean inside as you can get it , refill with battery acid , 9 times out of 10 you will see the battery return to its new state . There are several How to clips on youtube that show this. Battery pack wise I have one of these below
