battery life

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've had the 4200 for 4 years and a even with the battery problem I've enjoyed every minute I've spent with it. What sold it to me was that I can get 4 full-size adults and a reasonable amount to luggage in it. (Perhaps a bit off topic there).

Where abouts are you Mas52? Anywhere near one of our meeting spots?

The blurb on the tracker website says the battery is a NON-rechargeable battery that will last up to 30 days.
It uses this when the main car battery is disconnected.
So, if your car has had the main battery disconnected for any significant period of time then the chances are that the tracker battery is duff.

Of course the battery also has a finite life and you may well have reached this.

They say this is a chargeable maintenance option and I seem to remember seeing a figure of £50 somewhere.

Thanks for the good wishes. I live in the Westcountry, but I'll be taking the Masser to the Goodwood Revival this year, if anybody else is there I'd like a chance to meet. I'm a GRRC member also, so I could show someone round the Paddock.
