Ouch Rob, kerbed mine in the past. Makes you want to punch something, But hey, ying-yang and all that.. good news on the winnings!

I used the wheelspecialists in Nottingham to sort mine. I was completely impressed by them. They start around £70 per corner going up to about £100 for the specials with all the trimmings. Don't think you should go too far wrong with them. They can fit your new tyre at the same time and it's all done within the day.

Cheers, Miles.

Please, please make sure the tear on the sidewall isn't just to the 'RIM PROTECTOR' which is a piece just above the rim lining that protrudes out of the sidewall. I did similar and managed to tear an inch long chunk (about 0.4mm deep). Went to my tyre place asking them to replace the whole darn thing. They told me to save my money as the integrity of the actual sidewall had not been compromised, no thread was showing. They just used some tyre glue to glue back the shorn piece. Best to take professional advice but you may not have to replace the tyre...

Sorry - you have my sympathy having done this myself a few months ago.

I have'nt kerbed my wheels yet!!! But driving in the miserable weather on saturday, I was unfortunate to have a stone thrown up by a car in front.... and now I have a nice small star crack at the middle bottom of my screen. Has anyone used the company on TV who's name escapes me at the moment to repair a cracked screen. Want to get it sorted before the cold weather creeps in.... and I find the small crack turning into a shattered screen

Hi Rob (and all),

I had my wheels done a while back and have since kerbed them AGAIN! My missus is so scared of being with me in the car when I park now, because my reaction is, let's say, upsetting for all around me. I've already spent another £70/wheel to get the 2 I mangled re-done so now Jesse, my detailer, between chuckles at my misfortune, recommended trying Alloy Gators. You can check them out at http://alloygator.co.uk/

I haven't actually had them fitted yet, let alone had a bash at kerbing my freshly re-re-painted wheels, just to see if they work, but Jesse has also invested in a set so we'll both see how well they work and report back.
