The plan was to wait till around May or so before diving in again but when Nareman reduced the price of this 4.7 sport auto I could not hold back any longer. Que a flight down on Friday night to London then nearly 600 miles back yesterday in just over 9 hours ( hope no surprises waiting in mail from speed cameras because I was busy grinning wildly evert time I pressed that right pedal...gulp) so she is dirty, in need of paint swirls removed and a couple of stone chips all of which I am keen to get started on......

The GranTurismo’s are a shrewd buy at the moment. They are bottomed price wise in our opinion.

We get loads in and they all pretty much come in with the same simple issues:

• Variator caps
• Leaking cam cover gaskets
• Underseal
• Front wishbone bushes
• Front shock bushes
• Parking sensors
• AC pumps

Occasionally we see other items but that’s the main list.

They are very good cars and if the above is all good will serve you well.

Incidentally, we don’t see many clutch failures. In the past year we have done one MC Shift and one 4200.
