Got a wedding to go to Adam. Not much in the way of Lambo's, a Gallardo and a BEEEAAAUUTIFUL Diablo was about it.

that surprises me, there is normally loads of Lambo's at the Gaydon Event.

hi guys
good to meet you all again, and good to meet some new face's.
Mrs Duncscot, Gordon & Marcelle and Steve.
I think we, maserati, had as good a turn out as ferarri & better than lambo.
Alfa's were very well represented,as were lancia's.
Dont think this event was as good as stanford hall but it was a good day.

Andy, the only GTV for sale was an Alfetta, 1976 vintage, maybe a bit to old for what you were looking for.
I loved the old alfa 1300 junior. its the same colour that my lambretta GP 200 was.

trying to attach pic's, I didn't take any of our cars as every time I looked round Miles was contorting himself to take pic's of them with a fancy SLR so I didn't bother.................just some pic's of the old alfa's.

Only 2 manufacturere's represented, Alfa & Abarth.

Ros left her number with Abarth to arrange a test drive, god, I remember the day when I only had to buy her jimmy choes & mulberry hand bags.

Gosh, 2 years ago there were at least 24 Ferrari, and the same number of Lambo's...lots of classic Maserati too.

At late notice I popped along to this, got there about 14.15 or so. Got to be very honest, I was very very dissapointed with it. For one, we had to pay £11 each and then two, there were something 7 Masers (3200's, 4200's, a couple of classics and one GT-S), one Gallardo and 5-6 Ferrari's (a very, very nice 599). Was there something else on today or was it due to it being BH weekend or was that considered a good turn out?

I didnt expect it to be as big as the See Red that Ferrari do, but I was certainly expecting there to be a few more interesting cars there. The Heritage centre was intersting, but certainly not worth hiring a car and driving up to! :) (I', away for the weekend and persuaded the missus that a 2-3hr detour was justified - I was wrong :D)

Sounds like mixed reviews then....Maserati turn out good the rest, apart from Alfa, Lancia and Abarth, poor....

Love the Alfa pics Rob...Thanks.

Sad that you where that dissapointed Woody..... there was I think in total about 12 massers (all newish models) at the time I left a 1.30ish. I would agree that Gaydon museum was not the greatest highlight of the day..... I'd never been there before, but was expecting a little more. However, there has been talk about organising grand ALL Maserati meetings, and on other posts we have talk about organising a world record of Massers in one place at one time

Three of us left at about 1.00 when we had about 12 maserati. Ferrari was only about 6 cars (599 was fantastic) lamb was only three cars, lots of alfa maybe 40 cars. so it really depending what you where interested in. Museum was quite interesting.

I think it was one of them - expectations werent aligned.

I'd agree, there was a good few Alfa's and nice to see a trade display of Alfa's. Having seen the pics from the other meed (up near the A14/M1 jct), I was expecting there to be more than a dozen tridents. Plus, despite having had a look around to find a price, I thought £11 meant it was going to be bigger! I asked the lady on the way out, in as polite a way possible, if we hadnt seen some of it......bless her, I think she thought I was nuts! :)

Anyway, to take the positieves, the next one I go to must surely be bigger! From what I've seen, there's a better turn out at an Ace Cafe meet!

Evening all,
Thanks to everyone who was at the show today for a good day out. It was great to meet you all and I'm looking forward to catching up with you all again soon.

I thought we flew the Maserati flag well - we certainly had as much presence as Ferrari.

Here's a few of the photos I took today of our cars (plus the rather nice 599).
