No foreign holiday for us this year. We haven't come this far to maybe throw it all away. I think the UK is doing a great job with the vaccination but Europe not so. If we get all people over 50's done by May Europe will certainly be well behind that and while I understand once we have the jab we are safer from what I understand that doesn't mean you can't carry it and pass it on. Plus we want to see another 12 months how it pans out. If anywhere It will be a Cornwall for us this year.

I have been told Sweden expects everyone to be vaccinated by midsummer. Of course we’ll all have hepatitis through using the same needle....

Just reading on Bloomberg it's going to be 7 years to get the whole World vaccinated.
Obviously the Richer Countries will be quicker but I think our life's will be impacted for awhile yet.

A long while, and I think a few things will remain as legacies almost. Working from home will be much more of an option as an example.

I assume because you have booked a cottage you will be allowed vehicle access, which is normally restricted to locals only. Lovely spot, I have visited the pub but that was pre COVID.

Yep, we’ve been before, you get a fob to drive through the golf course and park at the top.

Looks like more beneficial treatments:

The EXO-CD24 substance was developed in Tel Aviv and successfully completed its first phase of clinical trials on Friday

We have a cottage booked on a remote Scottish island for end of March, looking unlikely now as no doubt Nicola won't let us cross the border - that killed our long weekend at the Torridon in December :(

Oh and Le Mans Classic - also looking unlikely - Goodwood Members Meeting, who knows??

Sold some bits on Gumtree, and the buyer came this morning to collect. We got talking, as you do, and conversation turned to Covid vaccination. It turns out that the buyer is a vaccine denier. I simply laughed.
Annoyed at my reaction, they started claiming of a professor in France saying that it was dangerous.
I said fine don't have it but since you're older than me, I'll take your place but if you catch it, don't go to hospital and ask for help. You had your chance, suffer in isolation.

They left. Turns out that she also thinks that Jesus will return in 10 years for the end of the world.... (beating the UK governments ban on ICE cars, so all is good!)
