This is the kind of stupidity that needs more than a £200 fine , because of their selfishness some poor sod is seriously ill in hospital

Friday heading north on the M1 I saw a car towing a glider and 2 towing boats , hardly essential

Been a lot of that about over the past year, probably ongoing in your own town or close surrounding areas, same as in mine, and a lot of other peoples local community. Its not just a couple of campers in the hills! Initially due to a total lack of enforcement by the relevant authorities, but that seems to be improving, although £200 is feck all of a deterrent if you have that mindset.

Jeremy vine had a professor, (microbiology I think)on today who basically said life might not and probably should not go back to normal for years
By normal he meant attending events in large groups and foreign holidays

One thing he said was if a vaccine is 70% effective then there's the possibility for 30% of a crowd to catch it then they all head off to various towns and cities and it all starts again

His opinion was the government should be much more aggressive in their approach to stopping it

I've started booking camp sites before Chantelle and Wayne get in , I'm avoiding weekends on organised sites and school holidays

It is if they’re going to blown away in this week’s storm and they’re going to be stored indoors. Or the marina/gliding club is closing. There are any number of reasons, and perfectly legitimate ones at that...

What amazes me is why nobody has suggested mandatory vaccination when you arrive. Refuse, get put back the a plane from where you departed.

Nope. But if you are isolating for 10 days you are staying a while so reduce the risk of catching and spreading whilst in the UK.

That’s the same as mandating I have the vaccine. It’s not going to have an positive effect at the moment, it’s just taking supply away from those who are deemed to be in critical need of it.
