I was thinking about this earlier- where the **** are they? Never have they been more needed. The NHS is at war - and armed forces are invisible.

A colleague who is in the TA was boasting about how he was ‘scoping’ the number of people he had at his disposable and what resources they could offer. Whilst nurses wear bin bags in A and E. not sure what they are waiting for

What they are waiting for, I believe, is the possible catastrophic overload that some people are predicting. Deploying 70,000 squaddies to rough up people for buying too many tins of tuna would be both a risk of unnecessary infection and a premature use of resources (not to mention the civil liberties backlash). Also putting sick people in tented field hospitals is not yet necessary. I think the wise thing would be to keep them in barracks while we are where we are now, so that they will be fit to be deployed when the bodies are piling up and the vigilantes have got out of control.

Anecdotal evidence does not cut it I'm afraid...........links?
Cos, they seem to be doing a great job looking at their stats

That’s because the numbers are ********.

Putin needs it to be business as usual with no lock down or quarantine so he can have a national referendum to change the constitution which limits presidential and PM terms in office. If it doesn’t happen he’s out of a job pretty soon

We should be commandeering all the butlins, pontins , centreparcs and any other holliday/chalet parks ......................these places are already fitted out beds and plenty of linen etc and most are in rural locations away from main towns

Links?? Seriously? One of the more oppressive regimes is hardly going to allow any negative publicity. Word of mouth may not be the most reliable, but sometimes that’s how the news gets out.

It is. More often IME it's how ******** gets spread. In no way to I infer that these reports are ********, but if I get one more of my intelligent friends send me the (latest, audio) version of the 'I was sent this by a colleague who knows a doctor...' and telling me I can prevent CV19 by drinking water, I might just implode

I was just about to suggest the same thing. Get all the infected people into a Centre Parcs. A few regionally spaced around....plenty of resources and things to do. Perfectly geared up for this scenario are they not?

As i remember most also have their own onsite medical centres which would also help ........probably a couple of oxygen cylinders and respitators

Seems slowly but surely one company or industry at a time is slowly switching capacity to help , just heard certain distilleries are switching to produce alcohol for sanitisers , this will be one happy man when i finally see al parties stop playing politics fo 3 months and openly state they fully support the govenment

Yes i know my typing keeps on missing the rrrrrrs its got a bread crumb stuck underneath lol

I heard earlier , that Cummings was looking for wierd and off the wall people to help out in the planning ............................somehow i think i could tick that box :clap1::alan:

So for my friends in the uk that are hearing about what is happening over here in France. This is the reality...
Yes we are in total quarantine... What does that mean?
*Well everything is closed apart from pharmacies, supermarkets, petrol stations.
*All bars and restaurants and shops are closed.
*We are not allowed to leave the house unless it's to buy food or an emergency.
*We are not allowed more than 1 person in a car.
*We are only allowed to walk our pets within 50 metres of our house and a quick walk on your own to the bins and back.
*We are not allowed to just take a walk or a bike ride to get fresh air
*All childrens outdoor parks are closed. Beaches are closed.
*In supermarkets you cannot enter unless you are wearing gloves and put sanitizer on. They are provided at the door
*At the pharmacy tape 2m apart outside door, only one person can enter at a time and only go 1m away from the counter
*The majority of us have suddenly found ourselves with no work
*In supermarkets and queues we have to stay in single file with a 2 meter distance between each person.
*Many hospital appointments have been cancelled
*There are hefty fines if you do not abide by the rules.

This is saving lives!

Coming your way soon......
