Rather sick to read that a football team were all tested this week... so that at least 12 Dr or Nursing staff who are still stuck at home waiting to be tested so they can help all... whilst a load of overpaid tossers can rest easy. Shame on the club and its staff.

Ridiculous , they ought to be named and shamed , where is the power Beckam role model in all this , and the major music celebs , the Bob Geldofs and Bono 's of this country , where are the rapper kings that influence our youth ...........................this is the time they should be given air time to persuade their generational public to adhere to governmental advice

Well getting interesting in France on the news tonight.
A French Doctor who has been working in China is saying that France is not doing enough.
He says the only way it will be beaten is that everyone should stay locked down going nowhere for 2 weeks.
Stay totally isolated in your own home.
Going to be interesting to listen to Macrons next address.

I have been doing exactly that for sometime now, bar a visit to an isolated very remote salvage yard and a couple of trips to a certain local garage with just 2 employees , Missus WFH now, shopping organised by younger inlaws , making sure we ae doing our bit , Must say timing has been pefect and a cracking time to come back home on here , dont think i managed 200 posts in a week in the old days , but it welcome relief , apologies to those who i may have got ratty with .....................should have saved it for James O'brien ;)

Portsmouth FC paid for testing equipment to be brought in privately at a cost of £6000 at their expense not denying anyone else test facilities. Other clubs have done the same. Please get your facts right.

These are league one players not premiership players on crazy money. See my other reply. Easy generalisation from our forum yet again.

The average league one salary is £2000 per week. That’s an insane amount of money for kicking a pig’s bladder into a net once a week and poncing about the rest of the time in a really tight pair of trousers.

Oh pigs bladder, again. Missing the point. Captain cliche.

I run a business and if I wanted to pay £6k to have my staff tested so Ididn't put a strain on the public purse and limit chances of further infection to family and friends I'd do it. Just like these guys have.

No let's talk pigs bladders instead. Words fail me.

I wasn’t commenting on the testing only on the assertion that they’re poorly paid. I doubt I’ll ever get close to half what most of them earn.

Poorly paid? Insane amount of money?

Don't understand. Anyway, lower League clubs (and higher irrespective of wages) are doing what they can to look after staff and family. Hope we can all agree that's good.

This is an unprecedented situation.
