Having had a 456 and a 360 and being a bloke in jeans and tee-shirt those cars seemed to ruffle people's feathers but having had two 4200 nobody got upset and always wanted to talk enthusiastically about Maserati.

Mrs C bought me a print of this. It hangs at the bottom of the stairs, and I love it. It reminds me how wealthy I am, even though I don't....

Several years ago, the guys over on ML contacted the family of the artist, and were able to purchase copies from the estate.
A while back at a business Christmas party, I met some new people who asked me what I did for the company......

I did something similar. I just went to a pub in the town I'd moved to (having picked a pub I liked the look of), strolled up to the bar, bought a beer, took it to a table in the corner, sat down and started licking my eyebrows.

I'm really not trying to wind anyone up , I'm just being realistic , when I tried to PX my then running fine 4200 against a 25k QP GTS they offered me 6k for it.
I doubt they'd want a 2002 4200 at all today

To be fair the 4200 you bought was probably one of the cheapest available at the time, a high mileage example (100k ish), that you had resprayed but unfortunately the respray failed quickly in the usual areas sadly (I was sad to see this myself before you sold it, especially as the painter was a recommendation on here), plus you had a few mechanical issues along the way too that could be put down to mileage.
So your ownership experience wasn't the best unfortunately.
