Hi Andy, thanks for your first post on the forum and welcome!

Not seen it before, am sure if its known the guys will soon let you know.

The only thing I would say to you is.........................get a full independent inspection done before you contemplate buying any Maserati.........called the first rule of Maserati ownership!

Good luck on your search and hopefully you'll buy one soon!

Andy, for a 2002 car I would say that it is well overpriced. Private you would be looking at £13-£15k for that car.

i was going to say what matt said.......

thats too much...i have had a few experiences with alfanet myself but wont post on here...what i will say is he is expensive and make sure you get an inspection done if you do go ahead as you will always get your money back with the discount you could ask for to rectify the faults.....

Andy been for sale for ages...Alfanet can be expensive as well. Plus go in with eyes wide open as mixed comments about them. I only live 9 miles from them and have been there a few times to look at cars over the years but never bought from them...The chap who runs it is Italian and does have some nice cars but I have also looked at some there that have been far from lovely......One example I can give is e had a 3200 there with a huge crack in the windscreen. He said that if I bought it then I could get the crack done on my insurance as this would be free. He was asking top money for the car as well......This is just my experience and I'm sure there will be some who had better experiences as he has been there for a long trime............What ever you decide make sure you get an inspection by a well known specialist which may be difficult as there aren't any around this area..

i went to see a 3200 in 2008, it had 28k and wanted 20k...i felt at the time its too much and he told me to come and something could be done, i went all that way, the car was dirty, little scratches on the panels, chip in windscreen, tyres were needing replacing soon etc....he wouldnt drop a penny, i never wanted the car but seeing as i had 16k to spend and this one had low miles i was taking a gamble by offering him 16k and ill have an inspection done....wouldnt drop a penny, he suggested £300 for my travel, i laughed....

guess what, i still see, 3 years on, he has it for sale......its on auto trader.....

hmm..thankss chaps.

I used to live in bristol so i know of alfanet and used to get some advice on my 155 from them..never used them to buy or services my cars though.

Im going to look as im back in town so im not making a special trip, however like you say would need a major discount and a full inspection to make it worth thinking about seriously.

Hi Andy. I dont at the moment im afraid, as i ve just swapped laptops so no lib pics and both cars are in winter storage at my dads.

Im visiting at the end of the month tho, and will probably get them both out then if the weather is resonable so will take some pics then.

75 is still fairly standard as at the early stages of the project, but will be great once she is finished. So much fun looking for all the bits for it, new suspension, brakes, race engine rebuild, roll cage, new alloys.....ahhh its great and not a project that will cost silly money which always helps :)

This looks a nice 75 but it is not cheap.

http://pistonheads.com/sales/2392045.htm

Would like a 75 to make into a DTM replica.

Yeah this is a nice car...great place to start in terms of building a track car. The uprated parts alone on this are probably worth £4000.

The alloys are compomotive TH2's and if i remember correctly are at least £1000 a bare set. The alloys im fitting to mine are comp as well. MO6 17x7, in a graphite grey. Will look wicked!

Those wheels will look great Andy; thanks for posting the alfa racer link, interesting website.

Just out of interest, how have you found your Merc C Coupe? my mum has exactly the same car as yours in black, had it nearly 5 years now, 48k miles and has been pretty sound.

I actually bought this car for my GF orginall yso it was her choice, not really my cup of tea normally. However its been so good i got rid of my daily driver, which was an ageing X5 that was getting to the age & millage where it was going to cost £££ to keep going.

I do alot of millage with work and so its perfect for that. Good little engine and from some angles i have grown to like the look of it as well.
